The Market Cycle Clock
Bitcoin dominance measures BTC's market cap as a percentage of the total crypto market cap. It's the single most important macro signal in all of crypto — it tells you whether the market is in a risk-on or risk-off phase.
BTC.D = (BTC Market Cap ÷ Total Crypto Market Cap) × 100

BTC.D Rising: Capital flowing from altcoins INTO Bitcoin. Market is in risk-off mode. Bitcoin is outperforming. Typical in early bull markets and bear market recoveries. Strategy: Reduce alt exposure, add BTC.

BTC.D Falling: Capital rotating from Bitcoin INTO altcoins. Classic alt season setup. The longer BTC.D falls, the deeper the alt season. Strategy: Increase alt exposure, rotate into high-beta plays.

BTC.D at Key Levels: Watch 50%, 55%, 60% as major support/resistance zones. A breakout above 60% = severe bear season for alts. Below 40% = deep alt season territory.
$STABLE.C.D — Stablecoin Dominance
The Inverse Bitcoin Indicator
$STABLE.C.D tracks the percentage of total crypto market cap sitting in stablecoins ($USDT + $USDC + $TUSD + etc.). Stablecoins are the "cash balance" of crypto — where traders park capital during uncertainty. This makes it a powerful inverse indicator for Bitcoin price.
STABLE.D = (Total Stablecoin Market Cap ÷ Total Crypto Market Cap) × 100
Stablecoins = $USDT + $USDC + $TUSD + $FDUSD + others
Stablecoins = $USDT + $USDC + $TUSD + $FDUSD + others

STABLE.D Falling = Bullish BTC: Traders deploying stablecoins into risk assets. Money leaving "crypto cash" means buying pressure. Risk-on mode — go long BTC/ETH/alts.

STABLE.D Rising = Bearish BTC: Traders rotating out of risk assets INTO stablecoins. Capital accumulating as "dry powder." Short-term bearish but building future buy pressure.

The Denominator Effect: When crypto prices pump, total market cap grows — so even if stablecoin supply stays constant, STABLE.D falls mathematically. This amplifies the inverse signal.
Key Nuances: A large USDT mint doesn't always mean immediate buying — market makers often load inventory first. Depegs make STABLE.D fall (looks bullish, isn't). Use 4H+ timeframes to filter noise.
OTHERS.D — Altcoin Dominance
Alt Season Radar
OTHERS.D = Total market cap excluding BTC and ETH, as a % of total market cap. It represents the health of "small cap" altcoins — the highest beta, highest risk, and potentially highest reward segment of the market.

TOTAL & TOTAL2 — The Denominator
Market Cap Context
TOTAL is the entire crypto market cap. It's the denominator in all dominance calculations. When TOTAL grows rapidly, it dilutes all dominance percentages — even if Bitcoin is rising, BTC.D can fall if alts are rising faster.
TOTAL = BTC + ETH + All Altcoins + All Stablecoins
TOTAL2 = TOTAL minus BTC (ETH + Alts only)
TOTAL3 = TOTAL2 minus ETH (pure altcoin market)
